At the time, Lau was commissioned to make some film-related illustrations, so he did not hesitate to draw his favoritemovie "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence"– a 1983 drama film, directed by a Japanese director Nagisa Ōshima. The illustration shows his favorite scene in the drama movie.
