"A Boy Who Wants to Be in the Anime World" is one of Lau’s illustrations showed at a subsidiary event of the exhibition in Tai Kwun, “MURAKAMI vs MURAKAMI”.

In the event, Takashi Murakami personally selected and screened several Japanese animations that had the deepest impacts on him, so Lau combined these two concepts of screening and Japanese animation to create a series of works.

Through exaggeration, the illustration depicts a young boy who couldn’t wait and stuff his head in a TV, showing hishunger and eagerness for animes.
